Hello, my name is Dhruvil Kanani and I'm an engineering student, outdoor enthusiast, and an amateur chef. Born and raised in India, I've always been fascinated by the field of engineering and am in my fourth and final year of engineering at UPEI. I am looking forward to working with my executive and excited to make a positive change in the lives of my fellow students through events, conferences and advocacy. I want to emphasize that as the President of the UPEI Engineering Society, I am here to listen to your concerns and feedback, and to answer any doubts you may have. Vice president external - Brian Macdonald

Hey everyone! My name is Brian MacDonald, and I am originally from Hammonds Plains, Nova Scotia. I am in my fourth year (out of five) of the engineering program. In my spare time, I enjoy rock climbing, ultimate (frisbee), and spending time with friends. As VP External, I am thrilled to represent UPEI at the various national and regional engineering conferences this year and look forward to working with other executive members to organize unique and memorable events. I am very excited about the upcoming year, and please reach out to me if you have any questions on how to get involved and participate in the various forthcoming conferences during the 2023 to 2024 academic year!

Hey! My name is Ellen Fraser and I’m from Stratford, PEI. I’m in my second year out of four of the engineering program. Vice President Finance - Jimmy Hulton

Hey everyone, my name is Jimmy Hulton and I am from Cornwall, PE. I'm excited to be VP Finance for the upcoming academic year. I first got involved in the society as a first-year rep, and now will be a member of the executive team in my second year of engineering. In my spare time, I enjoy playing sports, and am a player for the Ultimate Frisbee Team here at UPEI. My focus as VP Finance will be to open doors for as many students as possible to be able to attend more events and conferences. Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions!

Hi everyone! My name is Maddy and I’m from Charlottetown, PEI. I’m in year four of the five year engineering program and I’m pursuing a minor in Biotechnology. I’m also a part of the UPEI Engineering Brigades Club, UPEI Gives Blood, and the UPEI Ultimate team. In my spare time, I enjoy going to the beach, skiing, camping, and music. Hello! My name is Abby Chapman, and I’m in my second year of four in the Sustainable Design Engineering Program at UPEI. I was born in sunny California, lived in Nova Scotia for one year, and in British Columbia for two. Having spent most of my life here in PEI, this is where I like to call home! In my spare time, I love to kayak, drink coffee, and listen to music. I am super excited to be the VP Services for the Engineering Society this academic year. Previously, I held the role of first-year representative. I truly cannot wait to dive into all the fun ways I can support engineering students this year. Hey folks, my name is Luke McCarvill and I am from Cornwall, PEI. This is my 5th and final year at UPEI, as I switched from chemistry to engineering in my first year. I have an enthusiasm for sustainable urban planning, energy systems, and ultimate (Frisbee). Through my studies, I’ve had the opportunity to study abroad in Arizona, to work in a lab in Germany, and to travel to conferences in Halifax, Vancouver, and Tokyo. The FSDE is an amazing place full of opportunities to get involved and make connections. Hello hello, my name is Berry Genge, and I’m in my fourth year of five here in the Engineering program. In my free time, I enjoy camping, going to the beach, and designing new frog-related merchandise. This is my third year on the Engineering Society; in the past, I've held the role of VP Services.  I am also an active member of the UPEI Ultimate (Frisbee) club and work in the Engineering Success Centre on campus. I look forward to representing and advocating for UPEI FSDE students in this new role, so if you see me around, feel free to come by and say hello!
